Science and society
Teach us,
And we willingly
Even eagerly learn
the categories
The slots, the boxes
Needed to define our world,
to find ourselves within it
To know where everything,
where everyone, is ordered,
where we fit in place,
what space holds us snugly,
each their own, our own.
All that work to know
What, who, goes where when
And why that must be true.
Then one box Jesus comes
And throws it all away.
No free, no slave
No man, no woman
No weak, no strong
Only one simple truth
Love one another
as I love you
Each and all
The family of God.
