Does the light carry on
Past the point I cannot see?
Fragmented, fractured
Scattered into oblivion
There but not there.
Like a memory of you
Fading from sight
Faint echoes in the night
Just glimpses now
Of what had been whole
Without whom I would not be
Without whom I can’t imagine I’d be
Wondering if the light goes on
Wondering what I cannot see
All that’s left is the missing.
