The existence,
or absence,
of God
Is not dependent
on my, or your, or our,
belief or disbelief.
We cannot conjure God
through the intensity of our desire
Nor can we make God void
through the depth of our argument
We can only know God
or not
Gifted with faith
or not
Blessed with hope
or not
Touched by love
or not
And if not, we are left
with the futile solace
of cold cold logic
grasping for fleeting pleasure
certain only of emptiness
warmed only by the vanity
of being right
Never hearing,
never seeing
God weep.
An ocean of tears
In eternity.
